Family and Community Relationships is a course for students preparing for careers with children and families, and for students who want to understand how children develop within the context of the family and society. Students will recognize the main theoretical perspectives that demonstrate the importance of relationships to establish positive relationships with families and collaboration with communities to enhance the development of all children, including culturally diverse and special needs children. This course satisfies the CDA Competency #4.
