The student will relate the historical development of the reciprocating engine to the theory and operations of modern radial and horizontally opposed aircraft engines. The student will clean, disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble and test aircraft reciprocating engines induction, cooling, and exhaust systems in accordance with manufacturer's maintenance manuals, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and advisory circulars.
