Prerequisite: ART 224 Continuation of ART 224 with emphasis on the creative and expressive qualities of photography as an artistic medium. Students will further develop darkroom skill and procedures through more individualized exploration of projects to create a cohesive body of work in skill and artistic vision presented as a professional portfolio. Students will be required to take photographs and to interpret and analyze them in written and oral presentations. Lectures will be presented on the contemporary and historical context, the practical application of theories and techniques of shooting and developing photographs as an art form. Six studio hours a week.
