Comments: Credit by exam is not an available option. Description: This is a second-level course focusing on the nursing care process in meeting the self-care needs of clients experiencing common, complex medical/surgical conditions. Management skills in the care of a group of clients are developed. Clinical experiences are in a variety of settings. Students have additional opportunity to work with an experienced hospital staff nurse who serves as a preceptor to ease the transition from student to beginning professional nurse. Course objectives are explored and met through a variety of writing assignments.
