Credits: 2 Class hours: 2 lecture and 6 lab (8 weeks) Prereq: Acceptance into the second level of NURS program."C" or higher in orconcurrent enrollment in PHRM 203, MICR 130, and MICR 140. Comments: Credit by exam is not an available option. Description: This is the second offering of nursing courses in the area of Maternity Nursing. It builds on the content offered in NURS 154 as well as previous courses. This course is oriented to the pathological conditions found in Maternity Nursing. Emphasis will be placed on application of principles of growth and development, self-care, communication, health education, ethical issues, positions in the academic career ladder, and professional growth as they relate to Family Health Nursing.
