REL 151 introduces contemporary religious issues, their background and development, with emphasis on the question, "What is the meaning of existence "Upon successful completion of REL 151, the student should be able to: Describe contemporary religious issues. Identify different responses to issues such as the conflict between science and religion, problems of meaning and death, and the human search for identity. Describe one's own religious views and values. Express ideas and opinions effectively in written and oral communication.
