PACS 273 uses the indigenous languages of Polynesia as the primary vehicle to explore and examine the aboriginal cultures of the region. Upon successful completion of PACS 273, the student should be able to: Identify and locate the major islands and island groups of Polynesia. Explain the fundamental similarities and differences of aboriginal Polynesian cultures. Describe the evolution of Polynesian languages and their current relationships to each other.
