BOT 201L applies the principles discussed in BOT 201 through laboratory experiences in the lab setting and out in the field or natural ecosystem. Upon successful completion of BOT 201L the student should be able to: Identify and classify representative species of algae, fungi and vascular plants. Sketch, classify and describe the various species of algae, fungi and vascular plants investigated in the laboratory Prepare a scientific laboratory report with appropriate annotations. Prepare herbarium specimens of appropriate species. Apply the observational and experimental techniques and methodologies employed in the natural sciences.
