ART 114 is an introductory color course focusing on color theory and the application of color as related to studio art practice. Upon successful completion of ART 114, the student should be able to: Perceive and describe the multiple dimensions of color: hue, value, intensity and temperature. Demonstrate a solid understanding of color interaction, theories and vocabulary. Demonstrate skills in paint mixing, matching and application. Utilize cut colored paper and paint to creatively solve posed color problems. Begin to develop a personal sense of color.
