This course familiarizes the student with trails and areas in northern New Mexico. A three-day/two-night backpacking trip allows the class to study and enjoy the surrounding wilderness areas. The class is not intended for those with known heart conditions, debilitating muscle and/or joint problems, altitude problems or no experience hiking. May be taken twice for degree of certificate credit. Offered: Occasionally.
