(7 - 8 credits) Focuses on the nursing care of adults experiencing changes along the health/illness continuum that are common, well-defined, and have predictable outcomes. Includes math computational skills, basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care; acid-base balance, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, immunology, oncology, sensori-neural, infectious diseases, endocrine, respiratory and blood disorders and care of the dying client. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies. Lecture: 1 - 7 hours. Laboratory: 3 - 21 hours. Total: 9- 22 hours per week.
