(9 - 10 credits) Focuses on nursing care of individuals, families, and/or groups with multidimensional needs related to medical/surgical disorders in a variety of settings. Uses all components of the nursing process with increasing degrees of skill. Includes math computational skills, basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care; nursing care related to organ procurement; emergency care; and, cardiac, respiratory, endocrine vascular, burn, immunological, neurological, hematological disorders. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies. Lecture: 1 - 9 hours. Laboratory: 3 - 27 hours. Total: 11 - 28 hours per week
