3 semester hours (Lec 2 hrs, Lab 3 hrs) Prerequisites: Admission to the program. This course provides students with the knowledge of factors that govern and influence the production of radiographic images and assuring consistency in the production of quality images. Topics include factors that influence density, contrast and radiographic quality as well as quality assurance, image receptors, intensifying screens, processing procedures, artifacts, and state and federal regulations.
