2 semester hours (Lec 1 hr, Lab 3 hrs) Prerequisite: Admission to program. This course provides the student with concepts of patient care and pharmacology and cultural diversity. Emphasis in theory and lab is placed on assessment and considerations of physical and psychological conditions, routine and emergency. Upon completion, students will demonstrate/explain patient care procedures appropriate to routine and emergency situations.
