3 semester hours Prerequisite: None This course is a study of the identification, habits of growth, cultural requirements, and landscape use of ornamental plants of the southeastern United States. Emphasis will be placed on plants that have their greatest design impact during the semester in which the course is taught. The student will learn the common and botanical names of a significant number of landscape plants and demonstrate knowledge of the appropriate use of each plant. (Su)
