3 semester hours Prerequisite: None This course is a basic study of the collective management of individual trees such as those along street, and the management of groups of trees that function together (forestry) such as remnant forest and large mass plantings. The student will develop an understanding of the way trees function and are challenged in the urban landscape setting. Students will learn to identify trees that have become hazardous, and how to evaluate their need for corrective action or removal. (Su)
