3 semester hours Prerequisite: None This course is a study of plant pest affecting the production and maintenance of ornamental plants. Major consideration will be given to arthropods, weeds, and disease causing agents including environmental factors. Students will learn to identify the signs and symptoms of invading insect pests and the characteristics associated with the onset of diseases in turfgrass and ornamental plants. (Sp)
