3 semester hours Prerequisite: None Turf management will include the study of all major southern lawn and sports turfgrasses, their establishment and maintenance. Major topics of discussion will include: turf equipment, fertilizers, insect and disease problems, and mowing techniques. Students will learn to evaluate the quality of an existing turf area and prescribe a maintenance program for maximum quality improvements on turf used for lawns, playing fields, and in parks. (Sp)
