3 semester hours Prerequisite: MTH 100 (Lec 2 hrs, Lab 2 hrs) The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the basic principles of surveying. This will include the use of the tape, the transit, and the level. Upon completion of this course, the student will know how to measure distances, angles, and elevations; analyze errors in measurements; compute positions, areas, and volumes, and develop a site plan.
