4 semester hours Prerequisite: CDT 225 or CDT 226 This course introduces the student to the structural components of building design and the materials used in these components. This will include the materials of wood, steel, and concrete with the emphasis on wood and concrete. Upon the completion of this course, the student will be able to design decking, joists, beams, girders, and columns. (Sp)
