PREREQUISITE: As required by program. This course is designed to teach the fundamental concepts of descriptive geometry through an emphasis on logical reasoning, visualization, and practical applications. Topics include orthographic projection, points and lines in space, auxiliary views, plane representation, intersecting and nonintersecting lines, piercing and intersecting planes, plane development, and calculations. Upon completion, students should be able to project and intersect points, lines, and planes, with their relationships in space, as well as develop surfaces of an object for fabrication purposes.
