Prerequisite: Honors Program admission Honors U.S. History I shows the development of the United States from Columbian contact through post Civil War reconstruction. This course is designed to help students understand and function in their society. Honors U.S. History I will fulfill the constitution requirement for the Associate of Applied Science degree and partially fulfill the social and behavioral science requirement for the Associate of Arts, Associate of Arts in Teaching, and Associate of Science degrees. This course will fulfill the Missouri law requiring study of the national and state constitutions. Honors U.S. History I fulfills part of the requirement for an Honors Certificate or Honors Diploma. Students cannot apply both HST103 and HST103H toward graduation. (F)
