Prerequisites: PNE041, PNE141, PNE143, PNE145, PNE148, PNE162, PNE167, PNE171, PNE172, BIO120, and MTH113 with a grade of "C" or betterMaternal and Child Nursing is designed to assist the student in utilizing a family-centered approach to focus on the child bearing family. Human sexuality, reproduction, and common childhood disease processes are explored. The clinical component provides the students the opportunity to care for the child bearing family, with experience during labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn periods. (Su)
