Prerequisite: None History of Rock and Roll is a survey of the major trends, styles, and genres of rock music from 1945 to the present day. This course will also focus on concurrent historical and cultural influences that shaped the music, with attention given to those artists and groups who have proven to be of the most enduring significance. History of Rock and Roll is designed for non-music majors and will partially fulfill the humanities requirement for the Associate of Arts degree. (F,S)
