Prerequisite: None Modern Art is an art history course involving the study of the fine arts of the Western hemisphere dating from the middle of the 19th century to the present day. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of modern painting, sculpture, architecture, and camera arts, in addition to minor arts. This course will allow students in current Survey of Art courses to follow their studies through to contemporary art. Modern Art will partially fulfill the humanities requirement for the Associate of Arts degree. This course is required for Fine Arts majors, but nonmajors may enroll. (D)
