Provides experience in caring for clients with psychological issues/mental health disorders in a variety of acute care and community-based health care settings. Students will utilize critical thinking, therapeutic communication and the Neuman Systems Model in providing care to clients across the life cycle in the continuum of mental health care. Prerequisite: NUR 112 with a grade of C or better. Corequisite: HSC 201, NUR 150 and NUR 210.
