Deepens the students' functional skills in comprehending, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish and provides an overview of Hispanic culture in various countries. This course begins the intermediate Spanish skills sequence and while reviewing the grammar at the elementary level, it extends the growth of communicative proficiency and furthers the understanding of Hispanic culture. Students will also be exposed to short pieces of Hispanic literature. This course is not designed for native speakers. Prerequisite: SPA 102 with a grade of C or better, three years of high school Spanish or consent of instructor.
