Introduces both descriptive and inductive statistics. Collection of data; frequency distributions and measures of data; frequency distributions and measures of location (mean, median, mode); measures of variation; probability, theoretical distributions including sampling distributions, estimation, tests of hypotheses; correlation, regression analysis and index numbers; and time series. Computer applications using Microsoft Excel are included. (Credit will be given for either MGT 225 or MTH 165, but not both.) IAI BUS 901, IAI M1 902 Prerequisite: MTH 070 (or equivalent) with a grade of C or better or Geometry placement test and MTH 080 with a grade of C or better or placement test. An ACT Math score of 23 or more will satisfy all the previous prerequisites mentioned for this course.
