Focuses on the development of English to American Sign Language interpreting skills in unrehearsed monologic presentations. Addresses assignment preparation, public speaking techniques, process management, peer critiquing skills, and analysis of message equivalency. Presents and allows for practice of techniques for interpreting in consultative and formal registers. Prerequisite: ITP 120 with a grade of C or better, or consent of program coordinator.
