Continues GER 201. Provides a crucial bridge between the basic grammar and language structure that is taught in the first three semesters and the more in-depth study of history, geography, literature and culture that is taught in the advanced German courses. Integrates students' basic German language skills and applies them to everyday living situations. Begins the study of German literature, focusing on the modern history and culture of the German-speaking people. IAI H1 900 Prerequisite: GER 201 with a grade of C or better, three years of high school German or consent of instructor.
