Provides students with a review of waste generation sources, the means to evaluate discharge quantities, financial loss associated, specific environmental hazards, and a review of government bodies regulating waste discharge and production. Specific reporting requirements for certain waste types and the major laws associated with various types of waste are covered as well as hazardous waste storage and transport. Prerequisite: BIO 130 and CHM 122 with grades of C or better.
