Continues FIS 132. Provides those personnel who are, or will be, operating at the technician level of a hazardous materials response team with the advanced skills needed to evaluate and mitigate an incident involving direct release of hazardous materials. Students who wish to satisfy the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal Certificate Requirements must successfully complete this course as well as the required practical skills evaluation prior to taking the state examination by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (A.H.J.). Prerequisite: FIS 132 with a grade of C or better.
