Studies federal, state and local programs which assist the community in meeting the nutrition needs of its population. Introduces the principles of population assessment, program planning, implementation and evaluation. Emphasis will be placed on developing appropriate nutrition education strategies, techniques and materials for culturally and economically diverse populations. Prerequisite: DIT 102 with a grade of C or better.
