Introduces, through supervised lab instruction and patient film critique, the processes that go into obtaining and interpreting sonographic images. Focuses on sonographic terminology, image quality factors, scanning protocols and techniques, and the normal/ pathological sonographic appearances of abdominal, and gynecology structures. Discusses abnormal sonographic images and correlation of clinical data to develop diagnostic criteria. Corequisite: DMS 204, DMS 205 and DMS 207.
