Includes basic cosmetology, level two skills: orientation, hair properties, shampooing and conditioning, thermal styling, bacteriology, sanitation and sterilization, permanent waving, hair coloring, hair lightening, wet hair styling, finger waving, and customer service. Students attend lectures, demonstrations, and workshops. Meets State of Illinois licensing requirements. Prerequisite: COS 101 with a grade of C or better.
