Develops the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills necessary to prepare students for GED preparation, academic ESL, the workplace and career programs. Focuses on study skills, test-taking and other pre-academic skills necessary for success in college. Topics may include life skills, employment, current events, civics, U.S. History and government, geography and literature. Grammar points are integrated as appropriate. This is the fifth in a sequence of five courses. Student must take a language skills test which identifies the Nonnative Literacy student before enrolling. Carries no transfer credit. * ICCB approval of this course is pending.
