Focuses on assisting the LPN to transition into a new role as an Associate Degree Nursing Student. Emphasis will be placed on roles and responsibilities of the ADN, nursing process, critical thinking, legal and ethical issues and nursing practice issues related to specialized skills and the care of special populations. The clinical focus will be care of pediatric and obstetric clients. 90 Contact Hours (30 lecture hours, 30 lab hours, 30 clinical hours). Prerequisites: Completion of preceding nursing coursework with a grade of C or better.
