2 credit hours This first semester course will provide the EMT-P student with knowledge and skills necessary for providing advanced life support trauma treatment modalities. The student will learn to develop the processes associated with determining the mechanism of injury and how that mechanism relates to potential internal injuries the patient may have suffered, as well as decision making/critical thinking processes to formulate a treatment modality and apply such to a contrived patient situation.
