1 credit (Fall and Spring Semesters) The purpose of this class is to introduce students to Hatha Yoga physical exercise. The Yoga postures exercise every part of the body; stretching and toning the muscles and joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system. Postures also work on the internal organs, glands and nerves. By releasing physical and mental tension, they also liberate vast resources of energy as well as maintaining the balance between the mind and the body. Students receiving financial aid or veterans' benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating this course.
