3 credits (Intermittently) Prerequisites: LANG 241G, LANG 242G, LANG 243G. Beginning Interpreting will provide the student with specific skills and practical activities for interpreting from English into American Sign Language and from American Sign Language into English (verbal and written). Students will also focus specifically on the community of the Deaf and their needs, abilities, and differences. The interpreter's code of ethics and conduct and interpreter certification requirements will also be covered.
