Lecture, research, discussion groups, assessments, observa-tions, and field trips provide orientation to make a career choice and set goals to obtain employment in healthcare professions. Students explore characteristics of healthcare personnel, personal assessment as a healthcare worker, levels of education required for various occupations, certi-fication and licensing, healthcare systems, healthcare terms, philosophy and continuity of care, overview of medical law and ethics, client advocacy, current issues trends, legislative, and economic influences.
