1 credit (Fall and Spring Semesters) This course complies with American Red Cross Standards for First Aid and CPR training in the workplace. It will use hands-on practice and real life scenarios to train the students and will enable them to retain the skills and tools to respond to a work-related type emergency. The com-prehensive course meets training guidelines for first aid established by the Occupational Safety and Health Admin-istration. In addition, this course will emphasize the human relations aspects of individual and group relations respond-ing and treating a patient in a life threatening situation.
