3 credits (Intermittently) Prerequisites: LANG 241G, LANG 242G, LANG 243G. Beginning Interpreting Practicum Lab will provide the student with the practical opportunity to use the specific skills for interpreting from English into American Sign Language and from American Sign Language into English. The student will also have the opportunity to experience the community of the Deaf and their needs, abilities, and differences. The interpreters code of ethics and conduct will be practiced, as well.
