2 credits (Spring Semester) A course designed to familiarize the student with proper safety practices and procedures. Course content will include protec-tive clothing, handling of hazardous materials, OSHA regula-tion, worker's compensation and first aid. Safe practices in using hand and power tools, scaffolds and ladders, chains and cables, compressed gases, proper storage of tools and chemicals and handling of hazardous waste will also be addressed.
