An introduction to the major issues, research, problems, current service approaches in the study of aging process. Highlights the themes of demographic trends, theories of aging, lifespan development, person/environment interaction, optimal quality of life including economic and housing issues and cross-cultural and societal factors. An overview of information useful for students in the arts and sciences, business, education, and allied health and nursing programs. This course is cross-referenced with SOC 201.
