Presentation of the techniques, skills and limitations of the modern crime labora-tory, including ancillary services. An introduction to instru-mentation, including GC, GCMS, FTIR and electrophoresis. Topics include toxicology, controlled substances, biological fluids and stains, DNA, fire and explosion investigation and vehicular accident reconstruction. Laboratory work includ-ed.
