1 credit (Intermittently) Prerequisites: CMPA 100T or instructor's consent. This course allows students to gain basic knowledge about the internet. Topics covered will include a history of the internet; the basics of e-mail; how to access other comput-ers on the internet; retrieving files from other computer systems; the "how to" for discussion lists, news groups, and mailing lists; as well as basics about web browsers such as Netscape and Explorer.
