3 credits (Intermittently) Prerequisite: instructor's consent. This course serves as a preparation for the FAA Instrument Pilot written and flight examination. Course content in-cludes a detailed study of pertinent Federal Aviation Regu-lations (FAR), procedures, and publications necessary for operating an aircraft under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) in the U.S. national airspace system. Terminal and enroute procedures are studied in detail. To successfully complete this course, the student must pass the FAA Instrument Pilot written examination and complete the appropriate flight lessons for the Instrument Pilot rating.
