PREREQUISITE: PED 148 or instructor's permission. This course prepares the student to serve as an American National Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. It includes a thorough review of swimming lifesaving skills, all phases of water safety skills, and techniques for instructing the skills. This course is taught by a qualified Water Safety Instructor Trainer. Upon completion students should be able to demonstrate skills, knowledge, and techniques to pass the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor's certification.
