The study of gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), submerged arc welding (SAW), air carbon arc cutting (AAC), and plasma arc cutting (PAC) processes. Also the study of procedure and welder qualifications, basic welding metallurgy, metal identification, test positions, destructive and nondestructive testing methods, filler rods and electrodes, and various welding codes commonly used for welding of carbon and alloy steels, cast irons, and hardfacing applications. 3 hours lecture.
